September 14th

Well all in all the our first day of the trip went pretty well. The plane actually was on time and getting the rental car was suprisingly easy. In order to get to Sonoma we had to travel 60 miles north over the Golden Gate Bridge on route 101. Traffic over the Golden Gate or GG as they refer to it was actually pretty good. The views from the bridge are amazing! It wasn't until we got over the bridge that we sat in some awful traffic. I took use 2 hours to go 40 miles!
When we got here we just checked in and went to eat at this cool pub in town. Not sure how this whole jet lag thing is going to pan out as we went to bed last night at 9:30 and I was up at 6:30 today. So hopefully it won't be that bad.
We are heading to the Healdsburg farmers market today and are planning to meet up with Elisabeth's cousin this afternoon that she has not seen since she was 12.
Check back often as we will be posting regulary. Hopefully it will be like receiving a post card everyday!
